From environmental planning, permitting, remediation, and site characterization to chemical data management and hydrogeology, Kleinfelder offers a variety of services designed to provide technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
Kleinfelder is seeking a growth-oriented Survey Project Manager to join our Geospatial team. In this role, you'll manage projects within our Geospatial Department, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality deliverables. As a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS), you'll oversee project staff, perform QA/QC on geospatial projects, and contribute to business development by securing new opportunities for the firm.
Key Responsibilities
As Survey Project Manager, you will:
  • Lead all aspects of assigned surveying projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, clients, and partner companies.
  • Plan, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and staff for project delivery.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, invoicing, and project timelines.
  • Conduct research and prepare deeds, maps, plats, easements, and utility/construction plans.
  • Develop boundary resolutions, legal descriptions, and site calculations.
  • Perform control network analysis and conflict resolution.
  • Lead QA/QC efforts for staff production and project deliverables.

Qualifications
You're an excellent fit if you have:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in surveying or equivalent field.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) in the State of Texas Required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in surveying project management, including residential/commercial land development, transportation, and public works.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and geospatial fieldwork with GPS, Terrestrial LiDAR, UAS, and conventional equipment.
  • Expertise in boundary determinations, legal descriptions, geodetic and plane survey calculations, and QA/QC of geospatial deliverables.
  • Strong client management, proposal preparation, staff utilization, and progress reporting capabilities.

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
