The Solutions Architect serves as the task lead for all data-related services required to successfully execute a project from initiation through closeout. The Solutions Architect provides technical leadership for geospatial and data management workflows, supports proposal development, and ensures data services are delivered in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements. Responsible for development and execution of the contract specific Data Management Plan (DMP) and for coordinating data-related tasks across a multi-discipline team.

Location: Dallas, TX

Primary Responsibilities:

•          Lead scoping and authoring of data- and GIS-related contracts and task order specific projects.

•          Prepare cost estimates for data and geospatial services.

•          Serve as task lead for all contract data-related services.

•          Translate scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements into executable data workflows. Ensure proposed data solutions align with technical requirements and client expectations.

•          Design and implement end-to-end digital workflows supporting field data collection, database management, and visualization.

•          Develop, implement and maintain the project Data Management Plan (DMP).

•          Coordinate data services across internal teams and external stakeholders.

•          Support project closeout activities including data handoff and archiving.

•          Primary point of contact for Client personnel for all Data/GIS project coordination.

•          Ensure data quality, security, documentation, and compliance are maintained.

•          Develop, train, and mentor Jr. technical staff.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline, providing a strong foundation for leading enterprise-scale data and geospatial initiatives.
  • Twenty (20) or more years of professional experience leading GIS and data management teams delivering complex, multi-year programs and contract-driven projects.
  • GIS Certificate preferred, reinforcing advanced technical credibility when directing GIS teams and solutions.
  • Proven leadership overseeing enterprise GIS environments using ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Dashboards, with responsibility for architecture decisions, workload prioritization, and staff tasking.
  • Extensive experience with the Esri suite of software, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123 and others.
  • Extensive experience managing contract-level SQL Server data warehouses, including directing database administrators, GIS analysts, and developers to support reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making.
  • Experience managing contract level maintenance of AWS cloud enterprise data warehouse.
  • Track record of translating project scope, schedule, and budget requirements into executable technical work plans and supervising teams to deliver compliant, high-quality data products.
