Job description

Fiber Sales Team Leader

Build a Team. Lead from the Front.

Ready to build something from the ground up instead of stepping into someone else's team?

Ethos Sales is expanding into New York State, and we're looking for an experienced Fiber Sales Team Leader to help launch and grow a brand-new team in the Poughkeepsie area. This is more than a management role—it's an opportunity to build a team, establish a winning culture, and play a key role in expanding Ethos Sales throughout New York State.

We're looking for someone who leads by example, enjoys developing people, and understands what it takes to build and scale a high-performing door-to-door fiber sales team. As one of our first Team Leaders in New York, you'll have the opportunity to help shape our culture, influence how we grow, and develop future leaders as we continue expanding across the state.

What You'll Do

As a Fiber Sales Team Leader, you'll be responsible for building, developing, and leading a successful sales team from the ground up.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting and helping build a high-performing fiber sales team.
  • Training, onboarding, and developing new team members.
  • Coaching representatives in the field through ride-alongs and hands-on training.
  • Leading by example and maintaining high performance standards.
  • Creating a positive, motivating, and accountable team culture.
  • Supporting your team in achieving both individual and team goals.
  • Working closely with company leadership to expand our presence throughout New York State.
  • Identifying and developing future leaders as the team grows.

This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll spend your time in the field coaching, mentoring, and developing your team—not managing from behind a desk. Depending on project requirements, you may also be responsible for managing your own sales territory, continuing to lead by example while contributing to the team's overall performance.

Who We Think You Are

You're an experienced fiber sales professional who enjoys helping others succeed just as much as achieving your own results.

You likely:

  • Have previous fiber internet sales experience (required).
  • Have experience leading, coaching, or mentoring sales representatives.
  • Believe the best leaders lead from the front.
  • Enjoy building teams and developing people.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.
  • Hold yourself and others accountable.
  • Take initiative instead of waiting for direction.
  • Want the opportunity to build something from the ground up.

Beyond experience, we're looking for a leader with the right mindset. You have a positive, solution-oriented attitude and understand that every growing business faces challenges. Rather than focusing on obstacles you can't control, you identify opportunities, solve problems, and concentrate on what can be improved, built, and changed. You lead with optimism, take ownership, and inspire your team to do the same.

The right candidate is someone who:

  • Naturally identifies opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
  • Takes ownership and solves problems instead of waiting for someone else to do it.
  • Focuses on solutions rather than obstacles.
  • Understands the difference between what can and cannot be controlled and invests energy where it creates the greatest impact.
  • Leads with a positive attitude that motivates and inspires the people around them.
  • Looks for ways to improve the business, support their team, and raise the standard every day.

If you already have strong relationships within the fiber or telecommunications industry—or even experienced sales representatives who would like to join you—that's a significant advantage. We're excited to meet leaders who can help accelerate the growth of our New York team.

Requirements:

  • Previous fiber internet sales experience (required).
  • Leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable vehicle.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Willingness to travel throughout New York State as needed.
  • Comfortable working alongside your team in the field.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Proven success in fiber internet sales.
  • Experience leading high-performing sales teams.
  • Existing network within the fiber or telecommunications industry.
  • Ability to recruit and develop top-performing sales representatives.
  • Experience launching new markets or territories.
  • Ability to bring experienced sales representatives or an existing team with you.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building successful teams.

Why Ethos Sales?

We're not looking for someone to simply manage an existing team—we're looking for someone to help build one. This is a rare opportunity to become one of the founding leaders of our New York expansion. You'll have the freedom to influence how your team operates, help establish our culture, and play a key role in shaping the future of Ethos Sales throughout the state.

We believe in empowering leaders, not micromanaging them. Your experience, ideas, and leadership will directly influence the success of your team and the continued growth of our company. As Ethos Sales expands into additional markets, there will be opportunities to grow into larger leadership roles overseeing multiple teams and territories.

Compensation

This is a performance-driven leadership role where the majority of your earning potential comes from results. Compensation options are available based on experience, the needs of the project, and the right candidate. A base salary or guaranteed salary option may be available, but the primary focus of this role is performance-based compensation.

  • Uncapped commission on your own personal sales (when managing your own territory).
  • Team commission based on your team's overall performance.
  • Leadership and performance bonuses.
  • Base salary or guaranteed salary option available for the right candidate and project.

The stronger your team performs, the greater your earning potential. Your success is measured not only by your own results but by the team you build, develop, and lead. If you're motivated by performance, enjoy building successful teams, and want your income to reflect the impact you make, you'll thrive in this role.

Ready to Build Something Great?

If you're an experienced fiber sales leader looking for the opportunity to build your own team, develop future leaders, and help establish Ethos Sales throughout New York State, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and become one of the leaders building the next chapter of Ethos Sales.
