Job description

Marketing Lead

Location: Columbus, OH (In-Office with flexibility)
Salary Range: $93,000 - $120,000

At Priority Designs, we help companies develop exceptional products and experiences at speed. We’re on the lookout for a Marketing Lead who’s ready to lead the charge in growing our brand, building engagement, and helping drive new business development.

If you’re a strategic thinker who loves to balance creativity with results-driven marketing, and you're just as comfortable brainstorming big ideas as you are designing the details, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on role. You’ll design and execute marketing efforts that build our brand to stand out and stay top-of-mind for current clients and new prospects. This includes launching campaigns, growing our digital and social presence, and crafting content that shows off our work and insights.

Some of your day-to-day may include:

  • Developing and running strategic marketing plans to support growth goals.
  • Ownership of multi-channel campaign planning and execution, from strategy and content to the design and delivery across multiple platforms.
  • Create, manage and optimize targeted content across formats (social, email, website, pitch decks, print) Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Overhaul outdated and/or underperforming marketing content and sales materials.
  • Ownership of our Visual Brand Language (VBL) and how it is applied across platforms to optimize impact and assure compliance.
  • Working closely with internal teams to promote research, thought leadership, and project stories to target audiences.
  • Manage concurrent projects, deadlines and cross-functional collaborations.
  • Tracking performance and using insights to optimize our approach.
  • Staying current with marketing trends and tools so we’re always evolving.
  • Thinking big and bringing fresh ideas to elevate how we show up in the world.

You Might Be a Great Fit If:

You’re not just a marketer, you’re a planner, a designer, and a storyteller. You are a utility player who loves working across teams, bringing ideas to life, and making sure things get done with excellence.

We want you to:

  • Have 5-8+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, preferably in an agency or brand-side setting.
  • Have a degree in marketing, business, communications, or something related.
  • Know how to write clearly and persuasively, and love connecting with different audiences.
  • Have experience creating and managing written and visual content across multiple platforms.
  • Be as comfortable in Adobe as you are in Word.
  • View AI as an opportunity, not a threat.
  • Know your way around digital marketing (SEO, AEO, GEO, social, email, analytics, HubSpot...all the things).
  • Excel at juggling multiple projects, staying organized, and meeting deadlines.
  • Think strategically and act tactically.
  • Work well with others and are always up for problem-solving.
  • Be comfortable in a flat organization, where there are no ladders to climb, no middle management to navigate, and nobody is holding you back from doing your best work.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience in marketing complex, technical, or innovation-driven services to engineering or product development audiences.
  • Have a portfolio that demonstrates both strategic thinking and hands-on design output.
  • Are energized by being around other crazy talented people.
  • Are comfortable having autonomy to make the right call, agency over your growth, and a desire to bring your best self to work every day.

Perks & Benefits

Priority Designs is an employee owned, flat organization. This means you’ll have a direct line to company Principals and the autonomy to lead marketing without layers of approval slowing you down. You will collaborate closely with company Principals to help set the strategy and vision, and work side by side with your peers to execute.

Here’s what else you can expect:

  • Competitive salary ($93,000 - $120,000 depending on experience)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life and disability coverage
  • Employee Assistance Programs
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid holidays
  • Flexible PTO
  • Employee ownership through our ESOP program
  • Office dogs, beekeeping lessons, forklift food trucks, Bob Ross painting parties, fall road trips and more

A Little More About Us

Founded in 1990 by Paul and Lois Kolada, Priority Designs was built on a simple belief: that great products come from lasting relationships, with clients, and with each other. Over more than three decades, we've grown into a full-service consultancy spanning consumer, industrial, and healthcare product development. In 2017, rather than handing the company off to outside investors, Paul and Lois did something rare, they sold it to the people who helped build it. As an employee-owned company, we're each personally invested in doing our best work, for one another and for the clients we serve. That commitment lives at the heart of our Ethos.

Our Ethos is built on 3 key elements:

Trust and Care: The best, most meaningful work comes from people who feel trusted, empowered, and passionate about what they do. We cultivate an environment to support this through authentic connections and mutual respect.

Ideas, not Egos: We believe the best way to build our reputation is by helping others build theirs. That’s why we choose service over self, listening to our clients, end-users, and community, and making sure their needs are truly met.

Embrace the Challenge: As creative problem solvers, we love a good challenge. Whether the solution needs to be practical or groundbreaking, we adapt our approach to fit our clients’ goals, tackling each problem with collaboration and ingenuity.

If this sounds like the kind of place you want to do your best work, we'd love to meet you.

Company Description

Priority Designs is a 30-year-old, employee-owned product development company with Midwest roots and a global list of clients in the consumer, industrial and healthcare space. We're a flat structured team of 60+ designers, engineers, researchers, and prototyping experts, where egos are discouraged, the ability to have fun and collaborate (often simultaneously) is required.
