Job description

The Pest Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections to a variety of business including residential homes. They identify pest problems, choose an effective approach to eradicate pests/small animals and provide recommendations to prevent future infestation. You will also be required to build new business through sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods
  • Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using fumigants, pesticides and power spraying equipment, such wearing protective gear, following Material Safety Data Sheet guidelines
  • Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials in company vehicle
  • Manage schedule and route to ensure services are completed in a timely manner
  • Address customer needs and optimize their program on-site

Requirements

  • A Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Customer service experience
  • Willingness to obtain your Applicator's License
  • Sales experience an asset
