This is a seconded position, meaning the selected candidate will be employed by ITAC but work full-time on assignment with one of our clients. While day-to-day responsibilities will be managed on-site with the client, ITAC provides ongoing support, resources, and benefits as your employer. Objective
We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer with a strong industrial manufacturing background to support a multi-year factory transformation initiative. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing small-to-medium capital and operational projects within an active manufacturing environment over the next 2-3 years. The ideal candidate will have experience managing industrial projects, plant layout changes, equipment installations, and cross-functional teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
  • Manage complex factory transformation projects
  • Manage the implementation of a new plant layout / plant transformation
  • Organize project teams and assigning individual responsibilities
  • Develop project scope, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Determine resource and contracting requirements
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget
  • Integrate vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, or any related field along with 5 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, OR at least 10 years of relevant experience in managing heavy manufacturing projects if without degree
  • Relevant experience: Managing projects within a manufacturing environment or industrial setting, coordinating launches for new production equipment
  • Must be able to manage a project team in a fast paced and pressured environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; Excel. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong industrial project background
  • Experienced in managing complex layout changes in a manufacturing plant
  • Lean Manufacturing background in a plus for this role

The typical base salary range for this position is between $130,000-$180,000
