Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

The Project Engineer is responsible for providing sound project management related to capital and continuous improvement projects. This role is responsible for implementing assigned projects to meet the approved and established scope, budget and schedule. The Project Engineer is expected to achieve defined forecast spend accuracy on capital projects through sound project management and leadership. This position will be required to demonstrate solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. The Project Engineer will work as an integral member of a project team. 



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

1. Maintain compliance with safety and quality systems while possessing an uncompromising commitment to occupational safety. 

2. Deliver on assigned capital, major maintenance, and plant alteration projects. 

3. Deliver on project scopes, budgets, schedules and prepare CER documentation. 

4. Plans and participates in Field Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing 

5. Coordinate and participates in validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) 

6. Support assigned continuous process improvements to reduce costs. 

7. Organize resources and oversee completion of project work. 

8. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. 

9. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders. 

10. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. 

11. Develop detailed and comprehensive project plans to monitor and track performance and progress. 

12. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. 

Qualifications

Experience: Five years of project management and manufacturing engineering experience preferably in pharmaceutical, medical device, or related industry to include packaging, project management and/or maintenance engineering. 

Ability to follow the implementation of new equipment and testing of approved validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and commissioning documents. 

Knowledge of equipment design and project management. 

PMP certification is a plus.
