What You'll Do
As a Project Engineer III, you will:
- Lead and execute capital projects including facility modifications, process improvements, and new equipment installations.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Develop detailed engineering scopes, cost estimates, and capital expenditure justifications.
- Coordinate project activities with production, maintenance, contractors, vendors, and engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership for design, engineering, commissioning, startup, and system optimization activities.
- Analyze equipment and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot complex operational and maintenance issues while driving sustainable solutions.
- Support new product and system development initiatives.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards related to project execution, equipment reliability, safety, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and corporate safety standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture and support best practices across plant operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Proven experience managing capital projects from planning through implementation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to balance scope, budget, schedule, and operational constraints.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering initiatives and coordinating internal and external resources.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment systems, and plant operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with computer applications and Google Workspace (G Suite).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Manufacturing experience within building products, roofing, industrial production, or similar environments.
- CAD design and drafting experience, preferably with Autodesk products.
- Experience working in OEM, consulting engineering, or integrated design environments.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies such as Kepner-Tregoe.
- Exposure to Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
- Experience supporting continuous production equipment and process systems.
