    The Sales Trainee program is designed to prepare motivated, career-driven individuals for a long-term career in Outside Sales. Trainees begin by learning Tom Barrow's products, pricing tools, and estimating processes before transitioning into an Outside Sales Engineer role, managing accounts and driving business growth. Hands-on training will be provided.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist Estimators and Sales Engineers in preparing accurate and timely HVAC equipment estimates
    • Learn to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
    • Use OST software for material take-offs and manufacturer tools for product selection and pricing
    • Develop knowledge of Tom Barrow's products, processes, and customers
    • Shadow Outside Sales Engineers to observe client interactions and build sales skills
    • Develop and manage relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building owners
    • Promote Tom Barrow's HVAC products and services to existing and prospective clients
    • Provide technical consultation, product recommendations, and project support
    • Prepare and present proposals, bids, and quotes tailored to client needs
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of sales
    • Maintain accuracy and timeliness in all communications and deliverables
    • Support company initiatives and contribute to team performance

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or related field preferred (motivated graduates from other disciplines will be considered)
