Job description

Position Summary: The Project Sales Representative is responsible for developing customer relationships and driving growth through the sale of heavy lift, rigging, transportation, and specialized project solutions. This role works closely with customers to understand project objectives, identify opportunities, and develop safe, innovative solutions for complex industrial challenges.
Working alongside engineering, operations, and field teams, the Project Sales Representative leads opportunities from initial customer engagement through project award and execution. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to deliver value through consultative solution selling.
Travel Requirement: Travel is required for customer meetings, site visits, and project development activities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities involving heavy lift, rigging, transportation, and specialized project services.
  • Meet with customers to understand project objectives, operational challenges, and business needs.
  • Conduct site visits and project evaluations to gather information and support solution development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field teams to develop practical and innovative project solutions.
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, presentations, and project plans for customer review.
  • Lead customer discussions, presentations, and proposal reviews throughout the sales process.
  • Negotiate project scope, pricing, and service agreements while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support a smooth transition from project development to execution.
  • Maintain accurate customer, project, and opportunity information within company systems.
  • Drive account growth through business development, relationship management, and strategic market engagement.
  • Promote a strong commitment to safety throughout project planning and execution.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial sales, construction, manufacturing, engineering services, project management, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical solutions and project requirements.
  • Experience preparing estimates, proposals, or project plans.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to perform jobsite evaluations, including outdoor work and climbing when necessary.
  • Ability to pass a fit-for-duty examination.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in heavy lift, rigging, transportation, construction, engineering, industrial services, or related industries.
  • Experience supporting large industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, or energy projects.
  • Familiarity with estimating software, project planning tools, and technical proposal development.
