Job Description
The Program Manager is responsible for managing the administrative and programmatic requirements of the Coastal Virginia Conservation & Resilience Corps program and other workforce development initiatives at the Virginia Tech Coastal Collaborator in Hampton, Virginia. This includes recruiting and placing 15 AmeriCorps volunteers at local organizations in Southeastern Virginia, tracking AmeriCorps volunteer information and accomplishments, and assisting the Program Director with Host Site relationship building and grant management.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum one year of experience in workforce development related program management, volunteer or internship coordination, or similar fields.
• Experience working with students and industry professionals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work independently and on a team with a variety of populations.
• Ability to implement and follow required policies and procedures.
• Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing work priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with database and grant reporting systems, preferred
• Experience with AmeriCorps programming, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
