Salary Range: $83,857 - 95,765

Since 1946, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County has been a pillar of support for local youth. As the largest provider of youth programming in the county-with four Clubhouses and four licensed care centers-we are dedicated to excellence.

The Role: How You'll Make an Impact
Reporting directly to the VP of Resource Development, the
Director of Development is a key driver of our mission. You will keep our major campaigns moving forward with optimism, enthusiasm, and poise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign & Event Management: Coordinate and execute creative fundraising strategies and premier events within established budgets and timelines.
- Donor Stewardship: Manage your own personal portfolio of donors, building deep, lasting relationships with supporters who care about our youth.
- Public Relations: Act as a proud ambassador for BGCWC, representing the organization with grace and professionalism at in-person events and through compelling written communications.
- Collaboration: Work seamlessly with internal teams to keep fundraising momentum high and track progression toward our enterprise goals.
What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications)
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in fundraising, event management, or a similar role.
- Education: Bachelor's degree, OR an equivalent combination of education and directly relatable experience.
- Tech Savvy: Strong computer skills, including hands-on experience with Excel and fundraising/marketing tools like CRM, Bloomerang, PayBee, Stripe, Tapestry, and Mailchimp.
- Financial & Analytical Acumen: Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management, alongside the ability to analyze data and produce actionable reports.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to inspire others.
- Logistics & Flexibility: A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance by date of hire (for offsite meetings and events). Ability to work flexible hours/some evenings as events require.
- The Right Attitude: A passion for our mission, a desire to learn new skills on the job, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with limited supervision.
