We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Core responsibilities include leading or supporting site evaluation and selection, financial analysis, environmental and local permitting, fuel and water procurement, interconnection assessments, and securing land rights. The role also manages the development of battery energy storage systems for the utility. Additional responsibilities include identifying and pursuing growth strategies and opportunities, leading evaluation, analysis and due diligence efforts, and participating in negotiations for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and development initiatives. The Business Development Manager is a key contributor to the negotiation of project contracts and agreements, pro forma financial modeling and analysis, preparation of regulatory and governmental filings, interrogatories, executive-level communications, governance materials and public presentations. The role leads cross-functional teams composed of experts from construction, operations, external affairs, corporate communications, legal, tax, accounting, environmental, risk management, fuels, treasury, public policy, investor relations and financial analysis - ensuring alignment and execution of strategic objectives across the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:


7+ years of relevant experience is required (project development, financial analysis, project management, energy marketing, account management, contract negotiations, or other similar roles). Knowledge of electric project development and energy markets generally acquired through related work experience. Strong financial analysis skills, including ability to review and make investment recommendations based on pro forma financial statement inputs and results. Experience in commercial contract negotiations, acquisition and divestiture activities, and development of large energy infrastructure projects is preferred. Strong leadership and communication abilities (oral/written/presentation/interpersonal) to drive results in a team environment under minimal direction with internal and external customers. Ability to analyze information and make strategic business decisions. Strong organizational, risk analysis, and project planning/execution skills are also required. Must be able to effectively prioritize multiple key project efforts. Demonstrated computer skills including all MS Office applications.
