Job description

Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible sales and asset retention and brand promotion of all CI Global Asset Management investment products. Acting in partnership with a District Vice President, the BDM serves as a sales consultant to the specified territory.
BDM's will educate, train and motivate financial advisers and financial professionals to foster partnerships and stronger relationships, to increase CI GAM market share in the territory and develop high quality leads for DVP. The BDM will be located in their respective regional offices working as highly motivated sales professionals driving significant engagement with advisors remotely. The role will occasionally require travel to clients and client events within the territory as determined by business case and DVP, subject to RVP approval

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform pro-active call and sales campaigns to promote CI GAM product offerings to existing and potential clients
  • Generating referrals for your DVP
  • Perform account management and customer service duties for established clients
  • Respond to inquiries on products, fund management strategies, portfolio manager philosophies/processes/styles and industry trends
  • Develop sales campaigns and materials and assist in delivery of sales presentations
  • Assist in responding to due diligence questionnaires
  • Perform (monthly, quarterly, etc.) territorial sales and asset reporting in collaboration with DVPs
  • Collect client and competitor information from Internet and other sources
  • Work closely with and support efforts of other team members
  • Assist in administrative functions as required


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Minimum 2 years financial services industry experience in a sales capacity
  • University degree in Business Administration
  • Financial services designations (e.g. CSC, CFP, CIM, CFA, CAIA).
  • Securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry
  • Advance expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in managing relationships with clients
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Resourcefulness and creative problem solving skills to provide effective solutions for clients


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Routine office environment.
  • May require attending marketing functions and activities which extend beyond normal office hours.
