Seeking a Project Engineer to support electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role provides technical and administrative project support to help ensure work complies with applicable engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical and administrative support to project teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions
  • Troubleshoot engineering-related installation issues and support field teams with resolution
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch list planning and execution
  • Assist with estimating support, change order management, procurement, and commissioning support
  • Prepare specifications for purchasing materials and equipment
  • Support invoicing and project documentation
  • Compile and submit O&M manuals and other closeout deliverables
  • Participate in key project reviews and project reporting
  • Maintain and manage coordination logs, detailing logs, schedules, and schedule updates
  • Track productivity and support productivity reporting
  • Identify value-added solutions and cost-saving opportunities

Required qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering (preferred) or another highly technical STEM degree (examples may include Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Math, or similar)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in construction, engineering support, or project engineering (open to earlier-career candidates with strong alignment)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across field and office teams

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting electrical construction projects or working with an electrical contractor (preferred, but not required)
  • Experience with one or more of the following tools:
    • Procore, Bluebeam
    • Accubid, McCormick
    • Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
