Job Summary
The Electrical Project Developer is responsible for providing diagnostic and cost-effective solutions for a broad range of electrical systems. You will be responsible for identifying existing system deficiencies, making recommendations, and designing systems according to client needs. You will collaborate with clients, Engineers, Project Managers, and field teams to assist with proposals, project scope, and project execution
Position Responsibilities
  • Partner with project teams to support the development of competitive proposals from concept through project award.
  • Develop project estimates including equipment, materials, labor, subcontractor pricing, project schedules, and customer RFP requirements.
  • Collaborate directly with customers, vendors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and field personnel to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Participate in client meetings, site walks, and project reviews while providing detailed documentation, technical reports, and project recommendations.
  • Support project planning by defining scope, responsibilities, schedules, and construction strategies that drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Prepare and review electrical engineering and technical documentation to ensure quality, contractual compliance, constructability, and budget alignment.
  • Work closely with project managers and superintendents to implement innovative solutions that improve project performance, reduce costs, and maintain schedules.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, equipment deliveries, and technical material requirements to support seamless project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance for electrical systems throughout design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Assist with change management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives to keep projects on track.
  • Generate customer-facing technical reports and recommendations related to system performance, maintenance strategies, and equipment replacement planning.
  • Support project closeout activities including operations and maintenance documentation, customer training, and final project verification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial electrical design, construction, and/or design-build project delivery.
  • Experience in the design, construction, maintenance, and/or retrofit of large-scale commercial electrical systems.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret existing systems, develop innovative solutions, and create technical designs and project documentation.
  • Experience performing inspections and assessments of electrical systems.
