Job Title: Senior Architectural DesignerJob Description

As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will lead a dynamic team of designers, manage complex projects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality architectural designs. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the transition from design to construction documents and cultivating strong client relationships. Your expertise in regulatory compliance and innovation will help drive the success of our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and guide junior designers to foster professional growth and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Manage design projects independently with minimal supervision and provide input on other team members' projects.
  • Deliver design excellence through the entitlements phase and assist the production team, mitigating risks and resolving design issues.
  • Represent the firm in client-facing and regulatory meetings, aligning client goals and expectations.
  • Demonstrate expertise in jurisdictional communications, compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and entitlement submittals.
  • Conduct site feasibility research and site visits as required.
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies, materials, and methodologies to enhance design quality.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Revit and MS 356.
  • Extensive experience in conceptual and schematic design.
  • Proven project coordination skills.
  • Experience in architectural design and construction documents.
  • Ability to manage entitlement processes with minimal direction.
  • Strong ability to maintain and develop client relationships.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of architectural design experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Project Designer.
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
  • 2 years of experience working on hospitality projects.
  • Experience in midrise hospitality, mixed-use, or multifamily projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and experience with AI.
  • Interior design experience is a plus.
Work Environment

This position is based on-site in our Scottsdale office, which has flexible start hours and accommodates three employees. The role offers significant opportunities for leadership and business development. Benefits include 15 days of paid time off annually, company-sponsored health insurance for the employee, optional additional health and dental coverage, and a Simple IRA matching up to 3% of contributions. The office anticipates offering vision coverage as it grows.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/yr.

• (7) paid holidays per year. • (15) days of paid time off per year - this includes sick time. • Company sponsored health insurance for the employee only. • Additional family health & dental coverage is optional and paid for by the employee. • Dental coverage is optional and paid for by the employee . • Vision coverage is currently unavailable; it is anticipated to be offered once the AZ office increases in employee size. When available, coverage will be paid by the employee. • Simple IRA matching - up to 3% of contributions.
