Senior Child Support Solutions Business Advisor
Key Resource, 10+ Years of Experience
A child support industry expert who possesses superb leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills, and experienced in ensuring delivery of end-to-end customer-driven solutions for a statewide child support program. Supports top management in developing and executing business and IT strategic plans.
Analyzes business performance, industry trends, existing or new regulatory requirements and their impact on child support program and processes.
Makes recommendations on alternative courses of action, including risk assessment, capital investment, and acquisitions needed to align business and IT strategy with the agency strategic plan.
Additionally, requires good interaction skills with senior management and technical resources with ability to articulate and defend recommendations made.
Overall responsibility for creating a fully integrated business solution roadmap is required, along with an ability to shape the solution to align with business strategic goals, needs, and enterprise technology strategy. Establish trust with key stakeholders and drive process and functional objectives to meet the business needs.
Responsibilities will include setting the strategic direction for the end-to-end project planning and governance processes, inject best practices, and provide direct leadership for process control, optimization, and data analytics.
Required Skills: Delivery lead, Project Management Professional (PMP), Child Support Enforcement Functional, Technical, and Business acumen.
State of Michigan agencies, systems, policies, and standards experience strongly desired.
This role requires the following:
  • 10+ years' experience as a human services Business expert
  • 10+ years' experience within the child support industry
  • Leadership experience with large-scale human services project implementations
  • Experience with legacy child support application modernization
  • Experience in Project Management Methodology (PMM) principles, Change Management, Risk Management, Issue escalation and status reporting.
  • Develops a sound understanding of existing systems and processes, their strengths and limitations, and recommends technology approaches that align with current and future needs of the business in which they exist.
  • Provides strategic vision on how they may be improved and developed. Ability to understand and explain the interactions between business policy, systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions to the environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Complete understanding of SDLC management practices and methodologies with emphasis on working within a mixed environment of Waterfall and Agile Scrum development methodology.
  • Strong attention to detail with extensive analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Supports working in a mixed Agile and Waterfall team environment.
