Position Title: Senior Project Controls Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Position Description

The Senior Project Controls Specialist performs all project control activities on specific projects, including essential functions below.


Essential Functions

  • Prepare project plans and develop/maintain project schedules, status reports, project budgets/costs, progress measurement reports, and other related activities.
  • Prepare key project management reports for the purposes of supporting decisions and direction of the overall project.
  • Maintain change management procedures on each project including the monitoring and tracking of cost and schedule trends/changes.
  • Prepare and process invoices on each project and monitor cash flow. Interface with in-house management and clients regarding invoice status.
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and Project Team on tracking performance against budget and schedule
  • Assist in developing and maintaining staffing and manpower plans, project/proposal budgets, contract plans, etc.
  • Lead other Project Controls Specialist(s) as required, including directing and prioritizing work load and checking deliverables.
  • Interface with in-house departments and third parties for invoicing and cost tracking purposes.

Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or a Business-related major
  • 3-7 years Project Controls experience
  • Proficient in MS Project and/or Primavera
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Some knowledge of oil and gas engineering processes
