As a Finance Project Manager you will lead finances for projects , you will provide financial analysis, advice and guidance to support the project team in making the best business decisions . You will be the main partner for the Financial Strategy success of the project, contributing in negotiation processes to secure project success, and supports Project Managers in risks and opportunities process and sign-off on contingencies and committed savings.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a  business partner to provide finance advice, guidance and tutoring to the core project team
  • Escalating risks and opportunities to increase management attention
  • Forecasting , challenging and approving Project Financial KPIs such as cash, sales and margin
  • Controlling the project gross margin through detailed work package reviews 
  • Communicating with Project Stakeholders to provide reliable Business Cases to assist in the decision-making
  • Optimizing financial aspects on the project including Tax, Hedging, Financing
  • Ensuring Compliance with local regulations, especially for tax and statutory accounts purposes

In this role, you will continuously add value by interpreting and implementing the global financial strategy set at tender stage.

Ultimately, your success will be determined by your ability to build trust from the business with accurate forecast reporting and project controlling,  which will lead to involvement in projects with increasing scope and visibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant project experience, including long and complex project control
  • Planning, project performance, project accounting  and internal control experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Team player with Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Excel, knowledge of SAP, and/or financial planning  tools 
  • Fluent in other languages is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration; Accounting; Economics or similar is required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • CPA certification is an asset

Work location: Saint-Bruno (South Shore of Montreal)

Status : Permanent/full time (40h)

Hybrid : 3 days in office / 2 days remote
