Board Certified Behavior Analyst - $70,000.00 per year to start. AWARE - Missoula, MT - Full Time

Responsibilities:
  • Develop materials and provide resources for and provide professional learning in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of clients with behavior difficulties.
  • Plan and oversee the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for clients with ASD and other disabilities.
  • Provide behavioral assessments.
  • Assist staff with the development and implementation of behavior plans, ABA programs and other appropriate programs for clients with ASD and/or other disabilities that present behavior/learning challenges.
  • Work with clients who exhibit inappropriate behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff who work with clients who exhibit such.
  • Provide professional learning and conduct functional behavior assessments for clients
  • Solid knowledge of the cognitive, educational, vocational and social challenges encountered by persons with disabilities;
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others;
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of staff training and development.
  • Skilled in using an assortment of audio and video equipment for the development of training programs.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
  • Skilled in workshop management and presentation and in organizing and scheduling people, places, and events.
  • Evaluates training packages for their usefulness to the organization and individual components.
  • Confers with management to gain knowledge of work situations regarding training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
  • Must have the knowledge and qualifications to train employees in the specific and mandatory training areas of A.W.A.R.E., Inc. or be willing to obtain these qualifications.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
  • Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
  • Manages a caseload as needed and travels within the geographical area of the assigned caseload to provide needed services.
  • Must demonstrate - on a consistent basis - the willingness and ability to productively utilize work time in order to meet the needs of the individuals being served as directed, with the understanding that specific fiscal goals (billing, case load number maintenance, weekly) must be met on a monthly basis.
  • Records notes, billing units, assessments, referrals, and other data entry assignments via AWARE's Electronic Healthcare Record System.

Requirements


Talents, skills, and abilities:

  • In addition - and as a condition of continued employment - AWARE's BCBA must maintain the specific professional license and/or professional certification as required by state, federal governing boards, and other such certification boards.
  • An advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD) in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Requires five years of direct work experience. Position must be filled with a person certified in behavior analysis.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Montana Driver's License, with an acceptable driving record. Must pass a criminal and protective services background check.
