As a Project Support Associate, you'll support clinical trials by managing project documentation, coordinating supply chain activities, and ensuring consistent delivery of services. Work closely with internal teams and clients to support study success while maintaining the highest quality standards. You'll handle project planning, documentation management, and cross-functional coordination to meet timelines and client expectations.
Position Summary
The Project Support Associate works with other project managers in a small pod, helping them manage a group of shared projects. The pod shares responsibility for projects and ensures tasks are completed by an appropriately leveled project manager. This position is tactical in nature and responsible for shepherding tasks to completion, resolving issues within internal procedures, and acting as the primary point of contact for low-complexity client accounts. The team works cross-functionally to ensure that client requirements and timelines are met. Focusing on building relationships with the client and delivering an excellent customer experience.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides context and drives consensus internally, serves as a customer advocate. Monitors and bills day to day project activity. Reports vital issues to team and management.
  • Coordinates and assists in setting up and maintaining study filing system, accurately records and captures specifications for each project. Uses digital tools to visualize project landmarks and allow synchronized sharing of knowledge.
  • Provides internal/external partners with updates regarding timelines, shipping issues and delays. Coordinates production schedules to work within team capacity and provides assistance in troubleshooting problems. Participates in creation of operations documentation
  • Generates, checks and provides required reports to client.
  • Timely initiation of all services in accordance to client timelines.
  • Backs up the project management team.
  • Carries out all tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Education
High school diploma is required, a degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Experience
Position requires 1-2 years of successful experience in project management as a project coordinator, lab technician or equivalent experience in a customer facing environment.
Basic Minimum Qualifications
Must be on-site at our Thermo Fisher Rockville, MD location - Hybrid working environment.
Successful candidates will have strong project management skills such as excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to present information and answer questions for clients and management. Will be expected to be able to multitask and coordinate tasks across functional teams while maintaining attention to detail and drive problem solving.
In this team we must be adaptable and able to work in a variety of commercial and custom in-house software. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required and knowledge of Salesforce, Smartsheet, Jira, and TrackWise are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $23.04-$31.00.
