Position Summary

Wileman Bros. & Elliott, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to provide day-to-day support to our sales team. This position will assist with sales operations, customer service, order processing, and other departmental needs.


Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative and operational support to the sales team.
  • Answer incoming sales calls and assist customers or direct calls as needed.
  • Enter, review, and maintain sales orders in Famous, including pricing, specifications, shipping instructions, order changes, and applicable charges.
  • Maintain customer information and internal sales tracking files and assist with entry passing and related documentation.
  • Communicate with customers regarding orders, changes, questions, and follow-up items.
  • Assist with troubled files, order discrepancies, claims, rejections, and other problem orders.
  • Prepare phytosanitary certificates and assist with export orders, shipping documentation, and other export requirements.
  • Maintain organized electronic files for orders, shipping documents, Proofs of Delivery, and other supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain sales reports, spreadsheets, and internal tracking information.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Shipping, Accounting, Quality Control, and other departments to help resolve order-related issues and ensure orders are completed accurately and timely.
  • Assist with marketing activities, promotional materials, customer communications, and other sales and marketing projects.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned based on departmental and business needs.


Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of sales support, customer service, order entry, administrative, or related experience preferred.
  • Produce sales or fresh produce industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of export markets, export documentation, and phytosanitary requirements is a plus.
  • Famous ERP experience is a plus; training will be provided.
  • Experience assisting with marketing, promotional materials, or customer communications is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and standard office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional customer service skills.
  • Dependable, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


Schedule

Monday through Friday. Additional hours or schedule flexibility may occasionally be required during peak citrus season.
