Position Overview
The Project Engineer role is a vital position within Halo Technical Solutions Global's quality and commissioning team, supporting large-scale industrial construction projects with a strong electrical scope. This role is responsible for managing and verifying critical project documentation, supporting QA/QC and commissioning readiness efforts, and ensuring documentation accuracy, traceability, and compliance throughout all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain organized project documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, vendor documents, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all project stakeholders are working from the most current and approved document versions.
  • Upload, track, and manage documentation within project platforms (e.g., Cx Alloy, ACC).
  • Review incoming documents for completeness, formatting accuracy, and compliance with project standards.
  • Identify and flag discrepancies such as outdated drawings, missing attachments, or incomplete submittals.
  • Maintain and update tracking logs for submittals, RFIs, drawing revisions, QA/QC checklists, commissioning readiness items, punch lists, and delivery logs.
  • Generate routine documentation status reports and proactively monitor deadlines.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to obtain missing documents and required corrections.
  • Support QA/QC and commissioning teams by collecting, organizing, and verifying required inspection and testing documentation prior to system startup.
  • Assist in assembling complete and accurate closeout and turnover packages, including O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and test reports.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and document action items to ensure accountability and follow-through.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting document control processes on construction or commissioning projects.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, drawings, specifications).
  • Experience using document management or project management platforms.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Commitment to transparency and cross-team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
  • Experience with Cx Alloy, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or similar platforms.
