Work Location: Val-d'Or / Rouyn-Noranda
Schedule: 40 hours/week - 5/2, possibility of 4/3

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the Draftsperson is responsible for designing and preparing electrical fabrication drawings for various projects. They support the engineering team in the development of products, preparation of technical drawings, and implementation of solutions that meet client requirements.
 
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Create and prepare drawings, sketches, and electrical plans based on project requirements.
  • Develop and update technical drawings and fabrication documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders throughout the design and manufacturing process.
  • Modify and maintain existing drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist in the selection and specification of components required for project execution.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and adapt designs accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Diploma in Industrial Drafting or an equivalent field.
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Assets:
  • Experience in the mining industry.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
