JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting other PMs in the planning, organizing, supervising, quality control, security and safety procedures on the assigned job sites, as well as accurate communication, detailing the daily progress and bringing attention to potential problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Assist Project Manager and Construction team members in various tasks throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Assist in managing the design and construction process, including coordination of schedule, bidding, construction administration and project closeout.
  • Assist in managing scopes of work as assigned, i.e. estimating, scheduling, specific project management tasks, finance and contract administration.
  • Assists in identifying problems or potential problems as they relate to the organization of the job.
  • Quality control to include verifying all materials received on the project.
  • Assist in project control (budget, schedule, trend logs, etc.).
  • Assist in creation of daily logs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must have at least 2 years or more of direct hospitality or commercial construction and project management experience working for a developer, general contractor or project management firm.
  • Bachelor degree or High School Diploma/GED with work experience in the field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook. Experience with Procore and/or other project management software preferred.
  • General knowledge and understanding of commercial construction practices, processes, design, finance, and project management.
  • Able to communicate verbally, electronically and in writing day to day updates and issues to other members of the project team.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work. Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment, including computer, attend meetings at various sites on and off the Reservation; to inspect various work, buildings, construction sited or land development sites; strength to lift and carry materials and equipments up to 25 pounds. Noise in the work environment is usually moderate.
