Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Assistant/Filing Coordinator to support a records organization project in Cleveland, Ohio. This Contract position is ideal for someone who is comfortable in a warehouse-style setting, enjoys structured tasks, and takes pride in precise documentation. The role focuses on organizing historical files in sequence, preparing boxes for storage, and maintaining accurate written tracking throughout the process.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and pack historical record folders into storage boxes in the required sequence, handling one file at a time with care.
• Track the starting and ending serial numbers for each box and maintain clear written documentation of its contents.
• Remove oversized film materials for disposal while preserving related paper records stored separately.
• Position filled boxes securely on carts, then shift and stand them upright for transfer once packing is complete.
• Label each completed box clearly with the assigned box number so materials can be easily identified.
• Assist with basic box preparation, including assembling boxes and taping the bottom when needed.
• Work in a warehouse environment with extended periods of standing on a concrete floor while maintaining accuracy and steady productivity.• Experience with filing, warehouse inventory support, or other detail-focused organizational work.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods in a warehouse-style workspace.
• Strong number recognition skills and comfort recording serial numbers accurately.
• High attention to detail with the ability to keep materials in exact sequential order.
• Capability to handle light physical tasks such as sliding or repositioning filled boxes on a cart.
