The HT Group has partnered with a growing manufacturing client in the energy space in the search for an accomplished Corporate Controller to lead and scale its worldwide accounting and financial reporting function during an exciting period of international growth.  This executive leadership role is ideal for a CPA with deep technical accounting expertise, multinational experience, and a proven ability to build high-performing accounting organizations.
Reporting to the senior finance leadership team, the Corporate Controller will help establish and oversee all global accounting operations, establish institutional-grade financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and develop the infrastructure needed to support a rapidly growing international business.

Key Responsibilities
Global Accounting Leadership
  • Lead all worldwide accounting operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Cost Accounting, Project Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Consolidations, and Financial Close.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global accounting organization.
  • Standardize accounting policies, procedures, and reporting across domestic and international operations.
Financial Reporting & Consolidations
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for multiple domestic and international entities.
  • Develop executive dashboards, KPI reporting, variance analysis, cash flow reporting, and Board-level reporting packages.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting.
Technical Accounting & Governance
  • Serve as the organization's technical accounting expert.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies aligned with U.S. GAAP and global reporting requirements.
  • Lead worldwide consolidations, foreign currency translation, and intercompany accounting.
  • Strengthen internal controls and prepare the organization for future public-company readiness.
Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Improve month-end close processes, financial controls, and governance procedures.
  • Drive automation, reporting enhancements, and continuous process improvements.
Systems & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with finance and operations leadership on ERP implementation and financial systems optimization.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Executive Leadership to improve financial visibility and business performance.
  • Support acquisitions, entity integrations, capital projects, and strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
  • CPA designation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
  • Previous experience as a Controller or Global Controller within a multinational organization.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Extensive multinational consolidation experience.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or capital-intensive industry experience.
  • Strong background in cost accounting and project accounting.
  • Experience building accounting teams and scalable financial processes.
  • ERP implementation or financial systems transformation experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
Preferred
  • IFRS reporting experience.
  • Experience supporting rapid international growth.
  • Public company readiness or SOX implementation experience.
  • Experience supporting capital raises, lender reporting, due diligence, or M&A integration.
