Description

The ideal candidate should be familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the customer service field. Main field of activity:

• Coordinate all incoming calls to sell goods and services for the organization.

• Provide customer service and support by specifying, coordinating, and informing customers of the current status of their orders, as well as by informing them of the distribution network for sales and repair efforts.

• Receive written or verbal customer purchase orders for material or merchandise from customers or salespeople. This work typically involves some combination of the following duties: quoting prices; determining availability of ordered items and suggesting substitutes when necessary; advising expected delivery date and method of delivery; recording order and customer information on order sheets; checking order sheets for accuracy and adequacy of information recorded; ascertaining credit rating of customer; furnishing customer with acknowledgment of receipt of order; following up to see that order is delivered by the specified dated or to let customer know of delay in delivery; maintaining order file; checking shipping invoice against original order.

• May refer to Travaini catalogs and manuals, or a similar document, to ensure that the proper item is supplied or to verify the price of the ordered item.

• Provide customers with consultative advice using knowledge gained.

Provide verbal and written quotes for corrective and recommended parts to customers

− Processes orders, prepares correspondence, and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction

− Field customer calls for system and warranty/ repair needs.

− Assign, enter, and process all sales orders for vacuum systems and spare parts orders

− Generate return authorizations for replacements on problem orders, to include warranty and repair, and for those items not received.

− Maintains liaison with other departments for order completion

− Arrange all transportation, providing tracking information and costs associated with freight

− Post freight charges via invoicing at the end of the day for all shipped orders

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
