What You’ll Do

The Manager / Sr. Manager of Strategic Security Programs leads the identification, prioritization, and execution of key security initiatives that reduce risk, advance security maturity, and align to Teradata’s enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Security Programs & Risk Alignment

  • Identify, prioritize, and drive key projects that reduce risk across Teradata’s customers and employees

  • Identify and advance initiatives that increase security maturity across the organization

  • Partner with security leadership to align programs to enterprise risk priorities and business objectives

Program Portfolio Alignment & KPI Ownership

  • Own alignment of top program initiatives to quarterly commitments and annual initiatives, ensuring consistency across the security portfolio

  • Establish and drive visibility into security KPIs, partnering with security team leads, project managers, and program owners to ensure progress and accountability

  • Translate program performance into clear insights, highlighting risks, gaps, and opportunities for course correction

Security Architecture & Go-To-Market Enablement

  • Partner with the Security Architecture team to enable, scale, and operationalize customer security services across the Teradata go-to-market organization

  • Ensure alignment between security capabilities, customer commitments, and strategic business priorities

Security Investment Strategy & Alignment

  • Drive alignment and visibility of security investments across all areas of Teradata’s risk programs

  • Ensure investments are prioritized based on risk reduction impact and advancement of security maturity

  • Provide insights into trade-offs and investment effectiveness across the portfolio

Executive & Board-Level Security Reporting

  • Lead the development and curation of executive and board-level security collateral across the Information Security leadership team

  • Deliver clear, strategic narratives on security posture, program progress, KPI performance, and investment alignment

  • Elevate reporting from status updates to insight-driven recommendations for leadership decision-making

Security Program Governance & Operating Rhythm

  • Establish and drive governance frameworks to ensure alignment, prioritization, and performance tracking across security programs

  • Partner with the Technology Services PMO to align on intake, prioritization, and execution of security initiatives

  • Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and visibility across security initiatives and stakeholders

  • Define and evolve operating rhythms that enable consistent reporting, decision-making, and execution at scale

This role partners closely with the CISO and Information Security leadership team to ensure top program initiatives are aligned to quarterly commitments and annual initiatives, while providing clear visibility into security KPIs, investments, and overall security posture.

Pay Rate: 156400.0000 - 195600.0000 - 234700.0000 Annually

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on geographic location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and candidate experience. Sales roles will be eligible for commission payments tied to quota achievement. All other permanent roles will be eligible for one of our annual incentive plans, which are based on company financial attainment and individual performance.
