Job description

Distinguishedis a leading national insurance Program Manager providing specialized insurance programs to brokers and agents with specific expertise in Real Estate, Community Associations, Hospitality, Fine Art/Collectibles, Surety, Restaurants, Inland Marine, Executive Lines and Construction Professionals & Environmental, Crisis Management, Ocean Marine, and Property Reinsurance. Distinguished partners with a select group of highly rated insurance companies to provide exclusive programs to our national network of 4,000 agencies and brokerages. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Accounts Receivables Analyst to handle some of our largest invoices!You will work with hundreds of independent insurance brokers and agents across the United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversight, follow-up, coordination and resolution of receivables over 60 days, with primary focus on the Environmental and large Umbrella invoices.
  • Regular meetings with the Programs with larger invoices to review status and necessary actions.
  • Review and coordination and resolution of smaller receivables ensuring no items are more than 120 days open without a strong justification for them still being open.
  • Hosting and reporting out monthly to management the current status of receivables by program group with action plans on older open items.
  • Distribution of A/R reports to the program managers at least once per month.
  • Working with management to design a protocols for the new programs as they go live.
  • Ad hoc projects and other duties assigned by management.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 year's experience working in accounts receivable role or general accounting.
  • Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel focused) and accounting software's.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills both in working in team environment and working with customers.
  • Natural curiosity and desire for problem identification and resolution.
  • Sense of urgency in issue resolution and attention to detail.
  • Insurance industry experience is extra bonus points.

LOCATION
  • This role is hybrid - Poughkeepsie, NY

COMPENSATION & PERKS
  • $45,000 - $60,000 base salary + yearly bonus. Salary commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
