Job description

Program Director, IDD Services

Location: Longview, TX
Salary Range: $42,500–$43,888

Your Role

As a Program Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of one to four community-based programs serving individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This role requires strong leadership, organization, and a hands-on approach to ensure high-quality, person-centered services.

You will manage a caseload of up to 30–35 individuals and travel regularly to group homes, ISS programs, host home providers’ residences, and day program locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

This role requires participation in an on-call rotation and may occasionally require working shifts at the group home to ensure appropriate coverage and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day program operations including direct supports, person-centered planning, healthcare coordination, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, safety, and maintenance of the physical environment.

  • Oversee financial management, staffing, recruiting, retention, and training initiatives.

  • Supervise program staff, including scheduling, orientation, performance evaluations, and corrective action.

  • Make recommendations and/or decisions regarding hiring, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, and terminations.

  • Monitor service delivery to ensure supports are consistent, engaging, and meaningful to the individuals served.

  • Provide on-call support to staff and assist with shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience in the Human Services industry required.

  • Must have at least two (2) years of IDD experience.

  • Knowledge of HCS programs strongly preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license, current car registration, and auto insurance required.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Reliable, responsible, and compassionate in approach.
