Job description

Sr. Associate, Learning Operations & Program Execution

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Learning Operations & Program Execution Associate to provide end-to-end logistical support for our Leadership and Competency learning portfolios. This role is the "engine room" of our most visible programs, including our Enterprise Differential programs and the Leadership Lighthouse speaker series.

As a sr. associate on this team, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of both virtual and in-person learning events. You are someone who loves a checklist, thrives in the details, and exercises sound judgment when priorities shift, ensuring that every associate and senior stakeholder has a flawless experience from the moment they receive a calendar invite to the moment they finish their final session.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Execution & Live Support

  • Partner with other program managers and across L&D to ensure the programs incorporates learning best practices

  • Engage with leaders across the company to ensure a consistently positive experience for program's associates

  • Lead the technical execution of virtual sessions; this includes managing Zoom/Teams recordings, setting up breakout rooms and providing troubleshooting for participants.

  • Coordinate room reservations and program room setups. You will be the point of contact for conferencing services to manage AV needs, room arrangements, and session flow.

  • Support signature events (In-person sessions, Alumni events, Graduations) by coordinating hotel room blocks, catering (on-site and off-site), and transportation.

  • Manage all printing needs, including workbooks and name tags, and oversee the inventory and distribution of program swag.

2. Operational Administration

  • Own the program calendars and mailboxes. This includes sending invites, managing inquiries, and performing quarterly "data pulls" from the People Data Hub to ensure our Google Group distribution lists are up to date.

  • Perform regular entry into budget trackers, ensuring all spend is captured, forecasted accurately, and audited against actuals.

  • Assist with the administrative lifecycle of vendor management, including preparing Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinating contract signatures.

3. Governance & Communication

  • Maintain the "One Place" Google Site and internal Google Drive folders to ensure all leadership resources are organized and current.

  • Assist in building learning sessions within the One Learn system (LMS) and managing the registration process.

  • Draft and distribute program communications via Slack, newsletters, and email to keep participants informed and engaged.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has excellent project management and event planning skills

  • Has experience delivering and facilitating dynamic immersive learning experiences, with a particular focus on cohort learning / program experiences

  • Has experience driving communications with participants and presenters to keep them apprised of important details and developments

  • Has a consultative skill set that allows them to partner effectively with a wide range of senior leaders and subject matter experts.

  • Communicates with a variety of audiences with a dynamic and conversational style in both written and verbal channels

  • Ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed

  • Has an eye for detail and a keen ability to organize, move, select, synthesize, summarize and edit information to make it effective

  • Excels at managing details of a project while also understanding the larger picture, effectively prioritizing tasks with competing timelines

  • Builds trust-based relationships with clients to foster credibility throughout the team

  • Is curious and interested in learning more about our core subject matter: How Capital One makes and manages risks in lending decisions

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (BQs):

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative, coordinator, or operations-focused role

Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent military experience

  • Experience working within a Learning and Development or Human Resources environment

  • Experience coordinating corporate events or corporate training programs

  • Experience with budget tracking or financial data entry

  • Experience managing multiple project timelines simultaneousl

  • At least 1 year of experience using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $88,800 - $101,300 for Sr. Learning Associate


Richmond, VA: $80,800 - $92,200 for Sr. Learning Associate










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
