As a Summer Associate in the Chase Associate Program (CAP), you will participate in a vigorous 9-week introduction to our Full-time Program. The summer is centered on providing you a comprehensive look at Chase, with our Summer Associates focused on matters that are value-add to our business and have a real-life impact on our customers. Both our Summer and Full-time Programs are designed to deepen your knowledge of Chase through exposure to our business units: Auto, Business Banking, Card Services, Connected Commerce, Consumer Banking, Digital Product & Experience, Finance, Home Lending, J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, Marketing & Communications, Control, Operations, Risk Management, and Strategy.  CAP Summer Associates are placed in a role focused on one of our four program disciplines: Data & Analytics, Product, Project/Program Management, and Strategy & Strategic Initiatives. 

As a CAP Summer Associate, you'll have the opportunity to be challenged and stretched professionally while working on strategic projects. You will be provided with a strong support network comprised of a dedicated program manager and CAP Associate mentor who collectively partner to ensure you have robust learning opportunities, and a great summer experience. You'll receive continuous support, including rigorous trainings to sharpen skills and remain competitive, formalized mentoring, professional and social networking opportunities, exposure to senior leadership, and professional development training. Successful completion of the CAP Summer Associate Program may result in an offer of employment into our CAP Full-time (2-year rotational) Program.

CAP Summer Associate projects may include:

Job responsibilities:

  • Measuring operational effectiveness and integrating changes, defining and analyzing success metrics, as well as assessing and forecasting profit
  • Driving product development through the lifecycle - testing, iterating, measuring, and marketing new and developing features
  • Managing high visibility projects related to our brands, products, and services, working cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution
  • Developing and implementing business strategies, models, and marketing plans in line with regulatory controls
  • Developing innovative solutions to key business cases by collaborating as needed across business, product areas, and functions (ex: Engineering, Brand, Legal and Compliance, Finance, UX Design, etc.) 
  • Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled solutions to automate workflows, improve decision-making, and enhance customer/stakeholder experience, while ensuring appropriate model evaluation, monitoring, and responsible AI controls

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Pursuing an MBA or Master's degree with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in any role/industry, demonstrating unique perspectives and  exceptional leadership

  • Strong desire to learn about and eventually take on roles in executive and general management, product management, and strategy leadership in Chase

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intense, and ever-evolving environment

  • Ability to adapt to various work environments, teams, and leadership styles

  • Demonstrated and successful leadership skills gained through academic, professional, and  extracurricular activities

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Results-oriented, forward-thinking, and confident professional presence

  • Ability to communicate complex information effectively to various audiences

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Analytics, Information Systems, or Emerging Technology in Business a plus
  • An interest in supporting innovative financial products and services of the future
