Deputy Engineering Director -- Nuclear Fuel Services (BWXT) - Erwin, TN
Summary Description of Job:
Responsible for providing coordination for day-to-day engineering operations in direct support to the Engineering Director. The position may be organized with or without direct reporting organizations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities of Job:
1. Administration and implementation of Engineering initiatives as directed by the Engineering Director.
2. Oversight of Engineering standards and procedures.
3. Engineering budget development, review, and monitoring.
4. Coordination of day-to-day issue management involving Engineering resources.
5. Coordination of engineering support for business proposals, quotations, and awarded contracts.
6. Engineering contractor utilization strategy management, coordination, and quality monitoring.
7. Delegate for Engineering director for Safety & Safeguards Review Committee, Change Control Board, Plan-of-the-Day, etc.
8. Act as Engineering Director during incumbent's absences.
Educational Requirements of Job :
B. S. -- Engineering degree
Experience Requirements of Job (Beyond educational or equivalent)
Over ten years' experience required. P. E. License preferred. Previous supervision experience is highly desirable but not required. Position requires multi-discipline, practical knowledge base.
Pay: $150,000 - $227,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee at the start of employment is expected to be between $150,000 and $227,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
