  • Providing advice, guidance, and leadership to RHM and Region leaders in developing strategies and in the achievement of performance goals.

This position reports and aligns to the VP Trinity Health Clinical Engineering (THCE) to provide functional oversite for national shared services. Supports leaders to achieve goals, priorities, and to enable operational effectiveness. Accountable for leading, guiding, and directing the Trinity Health national & regional area functional responsibilities.

The National Director is accountable for direct support of the Trinity Health Clinical Engineering (THCE) program strategic direction, leadership, P&L and overseeing the CE shared services program. Provides leadership in establishing short-term and long-term system priorities in the capital investment of medical equipment.

Supports the sourcing of purchased services and parts to maintain medical equipment, negotiations and management of service agreements, customer satisfaction, medical equipment service strategy, resolution of hazard alerts/recalls, safety, accurate inventory of medical equipment, the assessment of medical equipment to support capital planning, providing technical guidance for the procurement of medical equipment, ensuring the needed controls are in place to protect the medical equipment form cyber-attacks, and the implementation of efficient and effective systems to achieve defined goals.

Provides guidance, interpretation, oversight and accountability for ensuring all programs are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as with The Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care (EOC), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Association of the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Homeland Security, and other related standards and regulatory agencies. Maintain awareness of new industry developments and standards.

Directly responsible for the operational oversight of the THCE System Software as a Service (SaaS), to include our end-user experience, data capturing needs, data analysis, training of all staff on the use of system with a thorough understanding of the why's behind the process and data requirements, maintaining all integrations developed between vendor applications and Trinity Health deployed applications. Work with THCE Finance on ICT data, maintain proper cost allocations to GL accounts, and all ISS&T verticals to create a system approach to data and processes where possible.
