Essential Duties
The Programming Assistant supports the Center for Multicultural & Community Engagement and Success Initiatives by providing front desk coverage, assisting with programs and events, and supporting daily office operations.
Responsibilities include:
  1. Greet visitors, answer phones, and respond to general inquiries using professional etiquette
  2. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, processing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies
  3. Provide front desk coverage in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service
  4. Assist with the Ram Pantry and support student engagement events and activities
  5. Assist with research and development of monthly programming initiatives
  6. Maintain and update the Center's social media platforms
  7. Manage equipment check-in and check-out through the Lending Library
  8. Present information to students and visitors in both formal and informal settings
  9. Explain program information, policies, and procedures as needed
  10. Maintain a clean, organized, professional workspace, including shared areas
  11. Run campus errands and assist with special projects as assigned
  12. Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes
  • Ability to work both remotely and on-site as needed
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and contribute to a respectful campus environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills
