Job Description:

This is an R&D/Developer role and part of L+G's Platform Development team. The Lead Developer DevSecOps will be responsible for understanding the environment and deployment needs of a GCP, multi-cloud and on-premises software solution. The Lead Developer DevSecOps will liaison with our global IT, Security and CICD teams to define, architect, get approval for and implement IaC, CAC and software deployment installers that meet modern security standards for our software solution. An understanding of networking, network configurations and firewalls rules is required.


Experience:
ย  ย 4+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code and Networking as Code
ย  ย 2+ years of experience with HELM
ย  ย 2+ years of experience with GitLab Runners or the equivalent
ย  ย Understanding of DevSecOps and tools like ArgoCD, Harbor, Jfrog, etc
ย  ย Understanding of certificates, certificate management, PKI
ย  ย 5+ years of experience building Linux and Windows software installers
ย  ย 4+ years of experience with Bash and PowerShell scripts
ย  ย 3+ years of Kubernetes experience
ย  ย 4+ years of Docker experience
ย  ย 6+ years of experience troubleshooting environments and software installation/upgrade issues
ย  ย 2+ years of experience in continuous Monitoring experience using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus is plus
ย  ย Experience with configuring, troubleshooting IoT devices ( metering devices)ย 
ย  ย Experience with GIT, Gerrit, GitLab, Azure DevOps and HELM preferred
ย  ย Relevant qualification - B.E (CS, IT, ECE), B.Tech (CS, IT, ECE), M.Tech, MCA

Daily Responsibilities:
ย  ย Review, merge, and manage infrastructure repository pull requests and CI/CD pipeline changes, ensuring coding standards and security practices are followed.
ย  ย Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot ArgoCD-based deployment pipelines to ensure stable, predictable releases.
ย  ย Update, version, and release Helm charts to support new feature rollouts, configuration changes, and bug fixes across environments.
ย  ย Monitor Kubernetes cluster health (nodes, pods, workloads), scale applications, and optimize resource requests/limits for performance and cost.
ย  ย Manage Kubernetes clusters end to end: write and maintain manifests and Helm charts, handle upgrades, rollbacks, and environment parity (DEV/SIT/UAT/PROD).
ย  ย Implement and automate vulnerability scanning, image signing, and artifact promotion workflows in Harbor and JFrog to enforce secure and compliant delivery.
ย  ย Respond to on-call alerts and incidents related to deployments, infrastructure, or platform stability, driving quick mitigation and root cause analysis.
ย  ย Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks using scripts, templates, and CI/CD pipeline enhancements to reduce manual effort and errors.
ย  ย Coordinate closely with development and QA teams on environment readiness, configuration changes, and deployment schedules, removing blockers proactively.
ย  ย Keep technical documentation, deployment runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and environment diagrams accurate and up to date.
ย  ย Work with IoT devices (meters) to configure, troubleshoot, and automate connectivity, firmware updates, and data flows into the platform.
ย  ย Collaborate with security and network teams on firewall rules, certificates, secrets management, and compliance requirements.
ย  ย Mentor junior engineers on DevOps best practices, tools, and incident response procedures.
ย  ย Work from office a minimum of four days a week to support close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Pay is in the range of $85,490 - $121,393ย per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
