Job description

Are you highly skilled in dimensional inspection and passionate about precision measurement? Do you enjoy working with advanced metrology tools like PC-DMIS and ATOS to ensure every part meets exact specifications?
APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Sterling Heights, MI looking to add a CMM Programmer their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to program and operate CMM equipment, including PC-DMIS and ATOS systems, to accurately inspect parts and ensure compliance with engineering and customer specifications. What your day will look like:
  • Program, set up, and operate CMM equipment to inspect parts and assemblies
  • Develop and optimize measurement programs using PC-DMIS software
  • Utilize ATOS 3D scanning systems for advanced inspection and dimensional analysis
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate inspections
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections as required
  • Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports
  • Identify non-conformances and support root cause analysis with engineering and quality teams
  • Maintain calibration and proper function of measurement equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department
What we are looking for:
  • 2โ€“5 years of CMM programming and inspection experience
  • Strong experience with PC-DMIS required
  • ATOS scanning experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
  • Strong understanding of metrology and dimensional inspection methods
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Good communication and documentation skills
