We are hiring for all shifts, in our Rochester Hills location.Job Purpose:The CNC Programmer/Operator at 3-Dimensional Services Group is responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machine operations and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure high-quality production standards are met.Key Responsibilities:Create, implement, and refine NC/CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers and mill-turn equipment.Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the appropriate machine settings and adjustments.Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary adjustments.Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, adjustments, and maintenance performed.Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.QualificationsRequired Education:High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in CNC operation is also required.Experience:Minimum of 5–7 years of CNC programming experience using Siemens NX CAD/CAM software is required.Proven track record of setting up, adjusting, and maintaining CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.Skills and Abilities:Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operations.Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving CNC machine issues to minimize downtime.Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
