Robot Programmer - US Resident

Location: Home Base – Livonia, Michigan
Travel: Approximately 50% travel to customer/client sites

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Robot Programmer to develop, program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robotic automation systems for manufacturing customers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience programming KUKA, FANUC, and Doosan robots while supporting system integration, commissioning, startup, and production improvements. This position is based in Livonia, MI and requires approximately 50% travel to customer facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot KUKA, FANUC, and Doosan industrial robots.
  • Perform robot programming, robot path optimization, and system modifications.
  • Support robotic automation, manufacturing automation, and system integration projects.
  • Commission, test, and validate robotic systems at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot robotic, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with engineering, controls, and production teams during installations and startups.
  • Perform robot calibration, program backups, and documentation updates.
  • Train customers and production personnel on robotic operation and best practices.
  • Travel approximately 50% to customer locations for installations, commissioning, and service support.

Qualifications

  • Experience programming KUKA, FANUC, and/or Doosan robots.
  • Knowledge of industrial robotics, robotic automation, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with robot troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup support.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.
