Power Generation Engineering Manager

Houston, TX

$130,000 - $220,000 + 15% STIP


A Manager, Engineering - Power Generation / Engineering Manager / Power Generation Engineering Manager is required to lead an engineering team responsible for the design and execution of power generation solutions within a specialist energy infrastructure environment.


This role is suited to an experienced engineering leader with a background in packaged rotating equipment, reciprocating engine systems and complex engineering projects. You will take ownership of engineering activities, support product improvements and lead a team delivering power generation solutions.

The Manager, Engineering - Power Generation / Engineering Manager / Power Generation Engineering Manager Role:

  • Lead and support an engineering team responsible for power generation product design and execution
  • Plan engineering activities, allocate workloads and maintain appropriate staffing levels
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, accuracy and timing expectations
  • Identify improvements to engineering standards, processes and best practices
  • Support recruitment, development and training within the engineering team
  • Lead product improvements and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Develop and maintain design standards and engineering documentation

  • Engineering degree preferred, with professional engineering designation considered an advantage
  • 7-10 yearsโ€™ experience in an engineering leadership role
  • Strong experience with packaged rotating equipment using reciprocating engines
  • Experience with installation and commissioning of power generation equipment is beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering activities for complex projects
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and leadership skills
  • Must be authorised to work in the USA without current or future employer sponsorship.
