Job description

General Summary: The Behavior Analysis Trainee (BAT) provides behavior analytic assessment and treatment services to children and/or adults, families and caregivers, while participating in Intermountain Centers Behavior Consultation Services’ residency program as part of the requirements to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct services and skills training to children, youth, adults and their families/caregivers.
  • Conducts Skill Based Assessments and develops Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Treatment Plans for clients in order to secure authorization for services.
  • Completes Functional Behavior Assessments and analyzes data to develop Behavior Intervention Plans or clients in order to secure authorization for services.
  • Provides training to family/caregivers and community teams on how to implement teaching strategies outlined in treatment plans.
  • Supports parents, caretakers and/or school staff, in working with children and/or adults in achieving positive behavior change.
  • Provides regular oversight of ABA programming and member progress using data collection system.
  • Attends team meetings and supervision sessions with Board Certified Behavior Analyst to maintain Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) supervision requirements.
  • Completes assigned supervision tasks assigned by Board Certified Behavior Analyst in order to accrue BACB supervision hours.
  • Maintains client files in accordance with requirements and contractual standards. 
  • Maintains documentation of supervision in accordance with BACB and state licensure requirements.
  • Completes progress notes, using the appropriate codes, in Electronic Health Record (EHR) within 24 hours of service.
  • Completes daily mileage logs and submit to supervisor for approval monthly (if applicable).
  • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or necessary as it relates to the general nature of the position. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education – Must be enrolled or have completed Master’s degree in a field related to Applied Behavior Analysis. Must meet the definition of trainee per Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Experience - One (1) year full-time direct applied experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors or applied behavior analysis experience preferred. 

REGULATORY:

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Arizona Driver’s License, 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration and liability insurance that meets insurance requirements.
  • Must possess and maintain Level 1 fingerprint clearance throughout employment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (Employer provides).
  • Initial current negative TB test result (Employer provides).
