Job description

Bayhealth is seeking a visionary and dedicated physician to serve as the Program Director for our ACGME-accredited Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program. This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the next generation of hematologists and oncologists in a dynamic academic and clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the fellowship program, ensuring compliance with ACGME standards and institutional policies

  • Develop and maintain a robust, evidence-based curriculum that integrates clinical excellence, research, and professional development

  • Mentor and evaluate fellows, fostering a culture of inquiry, compassion, and lifelong learning

  • Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance educational and clinical experiences

  • Lead recruitment and selection of fellows

  • Participate in clinical care, research, and scholarly activities within the Bayhealth Cancer Institute and Bayhealth Hematology-Oncology Associates


Qualifications

  • Board-certified in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-fellowship

  • Must have administrative experience and at least three years of participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency or hematology or medical oncology fellowship.

  • Demonstrated commitment to medical education and mentorship

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Delaware
