The role: Media Planner

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • New partner prospecting: Owns research, review, and vetting process of all net new partnership opportunities, with support from Inventory partnerships where it makes sense.

  • The role ofMedia Plannerwill be responsible for the planning of all media for existing clients in addition to research, development, and presentation of media plans.

  • Collaborates with internal sales and account management teams to present media plans to clients.

  • Meets with media representatives and analyzes proposals and packages.

  • Provides new and profitable ideas to grow clients' business.

  • Gathers, organizes and presents competitive research and spend data.

  • Maintains effective relationships with clients and vendors/partners.

  • Develops custom media strategies based on the client/audience behaviors and preferences.
  • Utilize key performance indicators to measure and optimize campaign performance
  • Understand the optimal media mix to achieve the client goals, selecting the right channels based on the client brief and budgets.

  • Leads integrated planning sessions to align media strategies with overall campaign goals.
  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships through effectivecommunications.
  • Guides clients on media strategy decisions and provides insightfulrecommendations.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to junior members or the pod / team. Coordinate team efforts to ensure cohesive execution of media plans.
Presenting & Influencing
  • Delivers clear and compelling presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicates complex media strategies in a digestible and persuasive manner.
  • Negotiates effectively with media vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Influences key stakeholders to gain buy-in for media plans and strategies.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in businessadministration/marketingpreferred.

  • 3+ years of agency experience required.

  • Media Planners are responsible for the planning of all media for existing clients, in addition to research, development, and presentation of media plans.

  • Increasing understanding of and interest in Media Alternatives and Media Integrations

  • Must be able to occasionally travel to supported markets or client events

  • Desire to learn new things, both formally and informally.

  • Passion to collaborate in a creative environment.

  • Ability to work on several projects at once.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Experience in digital media planning/buying, including programmatic

  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Writing Skills

MiQ pay philosophy/ transparency.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Chicago, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Chicago and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000. This range may vary for positions outside of Chicago as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
