Job description

We are seeking an experienced Digital Account Executive to join a Nashville-based performance marketing agency. They offer clients multi-channel digital marketing and branding backed by data to improve results, advancing AI in marketing to help clients get found online.

The Digital Account Executive will lead and serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of established clients to drive measurable performance and innovation across digital and traditional channels.

We are looking for a strategist with hands on digital marketing execution in key platforms, deep analytics insight, account relationship management, and active support of business development initiatives. You create winning client partnerships to build strategies and tactical plans. Additionally, you will leverage existing relationships to identify and build new client relationships to achieve annual account growth. This is not a cold calling role; it is a strategic, consultative position that supports and amplifies business development.

The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, a love of learning and innovation, a desire to exceed client expectations, and enjoys collaborating with others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned accounts, leading strategy and execution to deliver on-time, on-budget programs that drive measurable business results.
  • Turn client goals into integrated marketing plans across the right mix of channels (SEO/AEO, paid search, organic/paid social, streaming audio/video, traditional and programmatic media).
  • Own budgets, timelines, and KPIs, ensuring all initiatives meet client expectations and TruStar quality standards.
  • Partner with internal and external experts (creative, analytics, web, digital, media) to plan and execute full-funnel campaigns.
  • Proactively develop and present strategies and insights that drive lead generation, conversion, and ROI, and communicate recommendations clearly and confidently.
  • Build strong, trusted client relationships through active listening, responsive service, and results-focused counsel.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Support business development by surfacing new leads and opportunities, partnering with leadership on pitches, and contributing to proposal strategy and positioning.
  • Help create sales materials (presentations, proposals, scopes, timelines) and drive 15–20% annual revenue growth on your accounts while maintaining strong client retention.

This requires:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in similar roles in an agency or similar environment managing multiple clients, campaigns, budgets, and deliverables across digital and media channels.
  • Proven track record of translating marketing strategy into measurable business growth and ROI, with bonuses and/or performance historically tied to client results.
  • Deep, hands-on understanding of modern digital marketing (SEO/AEO, paid search, social, display/programmatic), including how AI-driven platforms and traditional media work together.
  • Ability to work directly in key platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, HubSpot/CRM, analytics tools) to assess performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize campaigns.
  • Fluency with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., GA4, Looker Studio) and CRM/marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot) for lead tracking, workflows, and pipeline visibility.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., templated WordPress) and tools like Canva, with a strong aptitude and desire to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Comfort supporting sales conversations, developing proposals, and turning strategies into compelling presentations, scopes of work, and timelines.
  • Highly organized, process-driven project manager known for clear communication, follow-through, and effective management of leads, opportunities, and deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients and prospects and collaborate across internal teams.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive mindset—energized by growth for yourself, your clients, and the company; thrives in a fast-moving environment where marketing, AI, and technology are constantly evolving.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, attend industry events, and work on-site about 10% to build relationships in the Greater Nashville area.
