Digital Engagement Specialist


Calvert Street Group seeks a talented professional to join our firm in the position of Digital Engagement Specialist. This role will drive digital engagement and organizing strategy, executing organic social and digital organizing strategies, writing and organizing content for social media, managing online petitions, creating website content, and social media monitoring.

Primary Responsibilities

·      Plan, manage, and execute integrated digital engagement campaigns across social, email, SMS, and web.

·      Design and implement targeted advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, including audience segmentation and A/B testing.

·      Manage advertising budgets, optimize spend, and track ROI for paid media efforts

·      Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and workflows to ensure on-time delivery of campaigns.

·      Coordinate with project teams to align messaging and targeting strategies

·      Create compelling ad copy and collaborate with designers on visuals optimized for performance.

·      Monitor and respond to real-time project developments with rapid-response digital content

·      Ensure compliance with platform policies and political advertising regulations.

·      Maintain organized documentation of campaigns, audiences, and performance metrics.


Required Qualifications

·      Demonstrated proficiency with social media platforms, media monitoring software, and simple graphic design software.

·      Proven experience managing Facebook/Instagram ad campaigns, including audience targeting and budget optimization.

·      Strong ability to develop, implement, and optimize digital strategies that align with project objectives and maximize community engagement.

·      Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.

·      Bachelor’s degree – or higher – with a strong academic resume and GPA.

·      3+ years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications

·      Experience with voter file targeting and CRM tools

·      Familiarity with lookalike audiences, custom audiences, and voter segmentation strategies

·      Experience in digital fundraising through paid media channels

·      Knowledge of compliance requirements for political advertising (disclaimers, transparency rules)

·      Basic graphic design or video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

·      Experience with other paid media platforms (Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, programmatic advertising)
