Product Support Sales Manager - Power Systems
Power Systems | Product Support | Engine Parts & Service | Sales Leadership | Houston, TX
Mustang Cat is looking for an experienced Product Support Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team focused on delivering industry-leading parts and service solutions for Caterpillar® engines and power systems. In this leadership role, you'll develop sales strategies, coach and support your team, strengthen customer relationships, and collaborate across Sales, Parts, and Service to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Role Responsibilities:
As the Product Support Sales Manager, you will lead the Power Systems Product Support sales organization while ensuring customers receive industry-leading service, value, and responsiveness.
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Support Sales Representatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the assigned territory.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with Parts, Service, and other business units to maximize customer support.
  • Support sales representatives by improving territory coverage and sales effectiveness.
  • Develop business plans and monitor performance against established objectives.
  • Implement Caterpillar initiatives and ensure compliance with required metrics and programs.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Caterpillar representatives.
  • Provide leadership input to Sales, Parts, and Service operations.
  • Develop and maintain profitable engine flat-rate pricing strategies.
  • Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities for continued business growth.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree (8-10 years of industry sales and management experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of related industry experience.
  • Experience working in a service operations environment, preferably with an engine distributor.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing sales teams.
  • Strong sales management, business development, and marketing skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proven ability to make strategic decisions and manage multiple priorities.
  • Results-oriented with a history of achieving or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer and business needs.

Preferred Experience:
  • Caterpillar dealership or heavy equipment industry experience.
  • Power Systems, industrial engines, electric power generation, marine, or oil & gas product support experience.
  • Experience managing customer relationships and territory-based sales organizations.
  • Knowledge of parts, service operations, and aftermarket support programs.
