We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and technically minded AV Support Intern to join our Global Technology Services (GTS) team. This vital role is responsible for ensuring seamless audiovisual experiences across the organization, with a primary focus on daily onsite TMX Market Centre procedures, technical broadcast execution, and day-to-day corporate AV meeting support. This position is strictly office-based at our core corporate facilities and does not involve offsite travel or field-based support.

Key Accountabilities

  • TMX Market Centre Operations (Daily Onsite): Assist with the daily setup, execution, and teardown of market hall events, town halls, and large-scale corporate presentations, ensuring all physical and digital spaces are prepared for presenters

  • Broadcast & Live Production: Actively manage live production components during high-profile events, including operating video switchers, controlling and framing cameras, and managing audio mixing boards to deliver polished broadcast feeds

  • AV Meeting Support: Provide proactive and on-demand technical support for conference rooms and executive meeting spaces, helping users connect, troubleshoot, and navigate AV equipment

  • Signal Flow Diagnostics: Analyze, map, and troubleshoot complex audio, video, and control signal paths throughout the corporate AV ecosystem to quickly isolate and resolve system interruptions or hardware failures

  • Equipment Maintenance & Inventory: Help maintain, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on AV hardware and corporate peripherals, ensuring all meeting rooms are fully operational and inventory tracking is up to date

  • AI Exploration: Explore Google Gemini to automate administrative tasks, streamline event workflows, or improve AV troubleshooting documentation within GTS

  • Collaboration & Backup Support: Work alongside GTS team members to assist with general office technology needs, desk setups, and provide operational backup during peak periods

  • Invoicing & Inventory Management: Delegated invoicing and expense tracking tasks to support team capacity while designing and implementing efficient inventory management systems for peers

  • Equipment Lifecycle Support: Assist with the routine servicing, testing, and replacement of AV equipment to maintain optimal system performance and reliability

Must Have(s):
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program
  • Solid understanding of AV signal flow (audio, video, and control signals) through integrated corporate AV systems

  • Intermediate understanding of AV equipment and hardware connectivity

  • Experience with Google Workspace (Google Meet, Docs, Slides, etc.)

  • Familiarity with video production concepts (e.g., camera operations, audio mixing, video switcher hardware/software)

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

  • Highly resourceful with strong troubleshooting and problem-determination skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving AV/IT equipment

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced event schedules

  • Ability to assist with routine servicing, testing, and replacement of AV equipment to maintain system performance

Nice to Have(s):
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Workspace) or Crestron control environments

  • Familiarity with AI tools (in particular Google Gemini)

Note:

  • 4 month Co-op / Internship: September 8, 2026 - December 23, 2026

  • 5 days per week in the downtown Toronto office

Salary Range: $20/hour - $25/hour CAD
