Job Description

Provide administrative support for copy and mail room services, shipping and receiving activities, and special assignments as needed. Provide backup support to the Support Services group, including but not limited to Fleet, Facilities, and Central Records.

Support Services Assistant Hiring Salary Range: $47,000-$56,000 Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily functions of shipping and receiving as related to USPS, UPS and FedEx including the preparation of outgoing packages and the delivery of incoming packages.
  • Assist with corporate mail distribution.
  • Operate a high production copier to produce internal print products.
  • Assist with reproduction services which may include copying stapling, binding, cutting, punching, collating and finishing.
  • Assist lines of business throughout Tri-State with vended services related to large and/or specialty copy jobs and services as needed.
  • Assist with stocking paper, breakroom supplies, and other assisted areas.
  • Support fleet operations with pool vehicles, shuttle services or other fleet related activities or operations as identified by management.
  • Assist Records Department as needed.
  • Demonstrate and promote ethics and behaviors consistent with Tri-State's culture, Board policies, and business practices. Understand and fulfill the role and responsibility for all compliance programs within the company.
  • Because Tri-State is an electric utility with continuous service obligations to its customers, regular, reliable, and predictable performance of the essential functions and responsibilities is an essential function of the job.
  • Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Ability to work on computerized shipping and receiving system with minimal supervision, and to a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, to maintain effective working relationships with multiple functional areas and customers.
  • Knowledge of electric utility materials and equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of personal computers and associated programs (such as Word, Excel, etc.) required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently with minimal supervision.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience in shipping, receiving, mailroom operations or equivalent combination of experience.

Other:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of experience operating high production copiers
  • Two years of experience using Fiery Command WorkStation software.
  • Experience operating Pitney Bowes mail system
  • Experience operating a Duplo cutter is desired
